So everyone in the stake knew Dad's reputation about dating his daughters.... Basically it was known that no one was even to think about dating one of his daughters. He was not exactly friendly to anyone who was even dumb enough to think that they could step foot in the Storrs compound. So naturally we did not date during our high school years (well not that Dad knew about) Because no one had the nerve to actually knock on the "front" door! Thank goodness we did not have the security alarm on the house when I was a teenager that is on the house now. "Back door open" :)
So when Lori called yesterday and told me about a song that applied to Dad, I had to listen. It has to be posted on the playlist. So Cherisse... add this song... Cleaning This Gun - By Rodney Atkins. It is Dad's theme song...
Just in the title you can see how this song applies to Dad, but the words of the song are even more fitting.
Just a little note in case dad has forgotten,(old age) I was told I was not allowed to go to prom. So as soon as dad left for the 2 hour grocery shopping trip I got ready, mom snapped a couple of picture (for proof that I went) and we were gone before he got home. ---Thanks mom for making the shopping list so long. And I guess thanks dad for not meeting us at the door with the gun!!! : )

Love the song...sounds just like dad! How did any of us get married?! I think dad just enjoyed torchering the guys! You know when he openned the door and the guy stood there scared to death....dad was just smiling inside trying not to laugh!!!
...that is wicked funny! I can only agree to his tactics now that I am a mom but whew! it all worked out in the end, right :).
So, who has or gets the gun next!
